Our second project was the design reports, and its sole purpose was so we can learn how to apply our typography and color knowledge into something aesthetically pleasing.

We had to read a book and choose quotes that really spoke to us, and design them.

 

I walked through the graphic design life of Adrian Shauhenessy and learned about his story. During the process, I also learned a lot of things that I can apply to my life later on.

 

Things like not giving up and learning with interests were recurring themes in his story and finding quotes that spoke to me made me feel like I had power over something. During the process of designing, my goal was not only to make it look aesthetically pleasing, but also to connect it to a symbol of some sort that spoke to me as a creator.
